AMAZING ART IN HALF THE TIME

What’s worse than spending hours and hours of pain trying to get the details just right? Finding out you could have done it in half the time and enjoyed the process! Here are three methods that have helped me speed up the process of making amazing art in less time.

1. TURN & BLUR

If you turn your reference picture sideways, you’ll be able to focus on the shapes and contrast rather than getting lost in the details too early. I tend to get lost in the details, so I love this trick!

2. TURN UPSIDE DOWN

This art tip is similar to the last one. If you turn your painting upside down, you’ll be able to focus on colors and textures without getting lost in the details. This method helps to turn your brain off from analyzing everything and just practice copying what you really see.

3. CHARCOAL POWDER

Charcoal power will speed up the process of drawing. Use a brush or a blending stump to dip into the charcoal power and then apply it to the paper to cover large areas.
